Adidas Outdoor and Megmeister Announce Partnership

ADIDAS OUTDOOR AND MEGMEISTER INTRODUCE DRYNAMO™ WOOL ECO BASE LAYERS

● adidas Outdoor and Megmeister come together through a shared dedication to creating sustainable and high-performance outdoor apparel

● At ISPO Munich (February 1-5) adidas Outdoor and Megmeister will introduce the first concept styles featuring DRYNAMO™ including ISPO Gold Award winning DRYNAMO™ MERINO ECO LS CREW BASE LAYER

● The partnership was founded from adidas Outdoor’s admiration of Megmeister and its leadership in advanced yarn technologies and innovative design

● The partnership unites both Megmeister’s and adidas’ shared sustainability commitments—including adidas’ 2021 commitments of: using only 100% recycled polyester in all products by 2024; reducing the brand’s carbon footprint by 30% by 2030; and achieving full climate neutrality by 2050

Megmeister Ltd and adidas Outdoor have partnered to raise the bar for high performance, sustainable eco-friendly base layers. Understanding that advancement of sustainability is only achieved through collaboration, Megmeister and adidas Outdoor have shared innovations to achieve this ambition, and through this have developed a new seamless base layer which not only reduces the amount of waste created during the knitting process, but is also 96% biodegradable at the end of life.

Central to the partnership is the introduction of the DRYNAMO™ Wool Eco Long Sleeve Crew Base Layer that combines adidas’ rich experience in the Outdoor sector whilst utilising Megmeister’s expertise in garment design and creating the most advanced yarn technologies. Created with Megmeister’s industry-leading DRYNAMO™ technology, the DRYNAMO™ Wool Eco LS Crew Base Layer demonstrates that sustainability doesn’t have to compromise performance. The comfortable fit comes from body-mapped targeted ventilation zones that provide climate regulation and breathability in a lightweight seamless knit.
